- Dual-lobe camshafts: Equipped with two lobes to actuate dual brake shoes, enhancing braking force and stability, typical in high-performance or large vehicles.
Regarding color, brake camshafts are usually finished with protective coatings to resist corrosion and heat. Common colors include:
- Black: From black oxide coatings, offering basic corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance.
- Silver/Gray: Often from zinc plating or chrome finishes, providing better rust protection and a reflective surface to dissipate heat.
